Alexander Hoischen to Join the Mendel Genetics Conference 2027

We are honoured that Prof. Dr. Alexander Hoischen, a leading expert in genomic technologies and the study of rare genetically determined immune disorders, has confirmed his participation in the Mendel Genetics Conference 2027.

Professor Hoischen is based at Radboud University Medical Center and Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, where he leads research focused on applying cutting-edge genomic technologies to uncover the genetic causes of human disease. His work has a particular focus on inborn errors of immunity and on the opportunities modern genomics offers for improving their diagnosis and understanding.

His research therefore naturally connects with the key themes of the Mendel Genetics Conference – from the fundamental principles of heredity to the latest advances in genomics and their applications in modern medicine.

Alexander Hoischen is also actively involved in major European scientific initiatives. He is the recipient of a prestigious VICI grant and chairs the Scientific Program Committee of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG). We are delighted to welcome him to Brno in July 2027 and look forward to sharing his work with the participants of the Mendel Genetics Conference.
